A bit about us
Established in 2025, Active Futures are a 121 and group based programme in Greater Manchester. By providing small group/one to one mentorship, alongside a bespoke package of holistic family support, Active Futures aim to bring out positive and sustainable change for adults, children, young people and families alike.

Active Futures operate from Wythenshawe Community Farm. This setting provides an enriching, hands-on learning environment where children can develop confidence, resilience, and essential life skills through outdoor experiences and interaction with animals.
Our Services for Schools & Councils Include:

One to One Education
Active Futures work One to One with children and young people who don’t have a place within mainstream school.
Students will engage in a bespoke, interest led curricuclum which increasing learning in core subjects and functional life skills where they can work towards a variety of qualifications (Including G.C.S.E, Asdan and more)
Adopting a holistic approach, Active Futures provide parents and carers with practical family support and advice to further help the development and future reintegration of our students.

Group work awards
Small groupwork sessions are available for primary and high school students, The outdoor ed programme offers an excellent opportunity for hands on practical experience and education. Based at the farm. at Wythenshawe Community farm
students can progress through bronze, silver and gold awards.
Students can learn where and how food is produced, learn valuable and transferable life skills with practical tasks such as helping to muck out the pens and learn to work as part of a team to accomplish tasks in a working environment​​.​

Crime prevention
Active Futures provide one to one support for children and young people who are at risk of committing: offending, anti-social and/or violent behaviour.
By utilising a positive, strength based approach, Active Futures aims to build: Discipline, confidence and self-belief within Children & Young people to build future aspirations and stop future criminal behaviour.
